Christmas in Vietnam highlands
This Christmas I (cassandra) will be travelling to Kontum, Vietnam again, this time with Ashley and Jessie. There are many villages in this central highlands area (where the people are still called Montagnards) finding it hard to make ends meet, so orphanages also house kids whose parents feel they are better off there.
Website of the Vinh Son orphanages of Kontum: www.friendsofvso.org we will be spending the most time at VS3 and VS 4 which does not have a proper water supply.
See album for pics from last year. We want to bring more foam floor tiles, games stuff, stickers and lots of sparkly hair slides, specially requested by the girls...
If you want to contribute, we are still selling the Ai Tam Tshirts, edition 3, you can buy one for yourself, or for a kid. Just get in touch. cpostema@gmail.com
(pic shows the kids as angels as part of the town's Christmas production at the wooden cathedral. Orphanage Vinh Son 1 is behind it. Village crowds camped out all day not to miss it!)
